Medicare LCDs
On June 18, 2011, CGS became the new Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) for Ohio Medicare Part B claims. As part of the MAC conversion, new Local Coverage Determination (LCD) policies were implemented by CGS.
Previously, Ohio had LCD policies related to two laboratory tests: (1) BNP
and (2) high sensitivity CRP. These two policies have been expanded, while six
new LCD policies were added. (All National Coverage Determination (NCD)
policies remain unchanged.)
Listed below are the laboratory tests with LCD policies. You may access a copy
